There can be no leadership without followers. It doesn’t matter whether you are leading a multi national corporation or your children on a hike, the rules are the same. As a leader your chief responsibility, the one that should guide all of your decisions is to see your surroundings through the eyes of your followers.
What they need the most of several things is confidence in a better future. You MUST rally them to that vision you have created. You accept their honest anxiety and turn it into energy to accomplish something clear and purposeful. The level of clarity you bring to your followers will determine their engagement.
The better you demonstrate clarity, the more effective a leader you will become.
