Good Employees/Bad Leaders

Promoting solely based on individual job performance without considering leadership skills can lead to challenges. When high performers are moved into leadership roles without adequate training, they may struggle to transition from being individual contributors to effective leaders. They may try to handle everything themselves, taking credit and responsibility, which can create dissatisfaction among team members. Effective leadership requires delegation, empowerment, and sharing of skills and responsibilities.
